Anybody on bloodpressue medication?
« on: August 24, 2013, 08:30:21 AM »
Or have weird blood pressure issues? Mcjagger? I have been having a problem for about the last year with a racing heartbeat when I try to sleep. like I'm talking about have you ever heard a knock in a old car's engine when its going down the road? damn like that!
It has me worried a little and I try to watch my salt intake and unhealthy foods, but sometimes it just isn't possible because unhealthy food is cheep.

I used to be a smoker and a drinker but haven't smoked cigerettes in almost 10 years I think. both are bad for you I know, but do I have to be on Plavix or some other heart med?

It almost always seems to race laying down which is what I do not understand. sitting up or standing, doesn't get like a weird blood pressue issue going on.

have you any bizzare blood pressure issues, and or take meds for them?

This is an issue for your doctor, if you have one.  Do you have health insurance?  :-\

I hope you get a regular doctor as soon as possible, and have a complete physical including blood work!   :nurse:

Coffee seems to make my heart beat slower. I have been drinking it since I was 8 or 9 so I hope I'm not turning into a cup of coffee

Coffee is fine for most people, racing heart/racing mind is not necessarily related to high blood pressure. I get racing mind and my blood pressure is good. Go to most any drug store and they will have a chair with a blood pressure cuff.

The Romans didn't have heart medication. They opened a vein and let it bleed! :arrr:

richard, i live a peaceful stress free life.  I do not need blood pressure medication.

Although, sometimes I wish that more blood would encourage my penis.  Now that I am 44 my bonkers can no longer cut diamonds.
Misunderstood.

Get a wrist cuff and keep tabs on it.

Watch the energy drinks, coffee later in the day...etc.
Smoking...unless it's certain herbs. ;)

Certain foods will help lower your BP, hibiscus tea is good, garlic...etc.

Mine will elevate due to anxiety/stress.

If you have to qualify it, it probably doesn't count as exercise. Go exercise.
