I2 has a smiley for everything. Even a hamster wheel. :hamsterwheel:

I didn't quote you because it was pointless for me to. why? and biased against you? hardly. take a look in in the mirror for an example of someone who follows me around here to say stupid shit. I didn't even vote in the last presidential election

and as far as America turning into a European nanny state that wont ever happen. your just paranoid as usual
I don't know why Odeon even said that, that's why I quoted him. Its not even the same thing, (our internet protection laws)
And the shit they want to do in Europe

keep smoking your paranoid bud rage.

Because you have your share or moronic internet legislation. And other kind of legislation, too, for that matter. Should I list some laws still in effect in your country? Plenty of them, a simple Google search will produce lots of laughs.

My point is simply this: you are not better off than anyone else, you just have your particular brand of idiocy when it comes to limiting personal freedoms. The porn ban in the UK is just one example among many in the western world. I wouldn't be too proud of the liberties in your country, considering some of the headlines of late.

If only Europe was socialist :(

No thanks. We had them for years and I don't want them back.

Voluntarily. The Swedish social security system actually started as private initiatives among workers in the 19th Century. It could be done the same way again.

It didn't work back then, did it?

You and I both know it wouldn't work. People are basically selfish. Why would someone spend ten years studying to be a health care professional only to provide their knowledge without any compensation, not to mention the central organisation required to produce the equipment and staff?

And I'm only hinting at the difficulties involved.

No, no, I didn't mean that you shouldn't pay for it. I just meant that it shouldn't be paid by taxes. That's what I meant by "voluntarily".

Do you know how much it costs? A private citizen would not be able to pay for it, in most cases, and you'd end up with a system like that in the US.

We'll have to find something out.

Of course, in an anarchy the freedom alone would make people healthy and  :viking:

Well yes Odeon all countries have really retarded laws. I was speaking in the context of the porn thing, I guess lots of americans look at porn so a law like that wouldn't fly
