Sort of pre-spring kind of weather. There's a promise of warmer weather but we are not quite there yet.

Good sized storm coming with rain/snow mix and coastal flooding,  again

I know Cbc is on the border between the 8 to 12 inches and the 12 to 18 inches.  I hope she ties a rope to something substantial so she can climb out of the snow drifts.

I'm glad the Weather Service is naming the winter storms.  I noticed that this had an S name.  If they can make predictions about the number of hurricanes why can't they predict the number of winter storms?

warm spring-like weather....not sure how long it will last. Humid, but no mosquitos (as it's technically still winter). cloudy sky, so the sounds of kids at the playground are amplified. light breeze so the wind chimes make subtle cluncking noises.

all around, a nice day, with an ominous air about it for those with allergies

I'm just up river (less than 5 miles) of New Orleans.  Skyblue1 is from North or South Carolina.

I am right on the Ohio, in Kentucky. My family migrated from the Carolinas. I visited New Orleans once...were you there for the 2005 hurricane?

We left the day before Katrina hit and evacuated to Texas for 6 weeks.  Thankfully no flooding (just half-way up our lawn) and very minor wind damage.

Thats good to hear. I went there two years later...a lot of homeless and broken houses. Haven't been since though.
