A few days ago it seemed as if something had BROKEN winter. It warmed up to spring-like temperatures for a few days and we had rain; most of the ice melted.

... but apparently winter has been fixed. It is well below freezing again. Got some light snow and sleet, today.

  :'(

Same here a couple of days ago. It was several degrees warm and then suddenly dropped to -18.7oC, which is below 0oF, the coldest night.  :-\

We have had quite a few "below 0oF"  nights this season. More than normal, but not the really super cold  20 or 30 below 0oF that we usualy have for a few days in January.

We have had ridiculous amounts of ice, but in reality, the stable ice covering kept us from having the super cold ground temperatures.

Right now, it is starting to sleet and snow. We are expecting about six inches of snow before sun up.

We broke our old record of 81 degrees F when we got up to 83 degrees.

Snow expected just when my flight is scheduled to depart. :snowing:

Sort of half-ass warm.

30.5°C at about 2:30pm. Sunny as usual. We haven't had any rain this month and it doesn't look like we are going to.

Really pleasant here. I wanted to go to the harbour, but the train lines are being fixed, so my choice is train / bus...or 1hr 10 on the ferry which I really don't want to do.

I could drive, but parking would be a nightmare. Sydney car parks are so small and snakelike also....I've not been in one yet that wasn't designed like a labrynth...even the driveways in are all curved and fucked up. No such thing as a straight down ramp.

We got a combination of rain and snow yesterday. If the slush froze overnight, I might get called in to work,
since the girl scheduled to work today has a much longer commute and roads may be dangerously icy where she lives.   :snowing:

Weather to stay inside.

Most horrible weather for a postie. Combination of rain and melting snow falling down. Nothing gets you colder and wetter than that, OK, one thing will, that is this, combined with a storm. But, it is awful weather to be out in.
