What is the Weather like where You Live?

I received an email from a cousin who lives in southeastern Colorado.  It's supposed to be -31 F.

Did you shovel it out, or did you just keep gunning the engine till you got through?

I always have two big buckets of coarse sand in it, so I poured that under the driving tyres and then "rocked" it loose by alternating driving forwards and backwards.

It was over 40 degrees for most of the day.

Just at 28 degrees now.

Midnight it was still 35 degrees.

Was that windy that at one house I was amazed that the letters to deliver were not torn in half by the wind, while I held them tightly.

I hate it when it is that hot. Here it is 30.2°C at nearly 5:30pm. Not too bad. Been very windy though, and I think that is keeping the temperature down.

Just below freezing for the first time in a couple of weeks  (way warmer than single digits in Fahrenheit). Been too cold of late. Today, though, damn near tolerable, for winter.

Managed to chip away at the four or five inches of ice over about thirty feet of the drive. Not quite half way there, though. Finally defeated the walk to the bus stop for the neighborhood kids (and my own) ...


... it was up to my waste and mostly solid ice, until yesterday. Today was a couple of degrees warmer and with a pick ax, roofing tool, and what ever parts I used up that will never grow back, I got through the frozen shit and we now have a safe walk to the street, for the first time in about eight days.
