Right at freezing this morning, and the wind has let up mostly.
BUT, we have another polar front heading our way. By, Tuesday we could have single digit Fahrenheit temperatures and gusty thirty plus mile per hour winds.
This was the first year in about five or so when I had enough "stuff" (all stuff, everything it takes) to super prepare my garden and allow it to fallow over winter well. Organic blood meal and bone meal laid in the right places, ammonium sulfate placed where I need to drop PH, loads of mature compost worked in.
I am looking forward to this year's warm months.
Ah, crap. I forgot to mention the Slo-mo ice tsunami in New York.
Heard about all the wind breaking up the frozen Lake Eire shoreline into little ice waves and building up, closing roads as the ice waves were blown ashore.
Fun stuff, kind of.
