I've always had headaches. When I was about 11, I was diagnosed with "the common migraine", whatever that means. I don't always have to lie in the dark, but sometimes I need it. Noise is definitely a thing too.

  They run on my father's side of the family, though he mostly got the optical effects with
   mild headaches, if any.  My brother and I have had a few optical illusions as well, no headache.

My father used to get bad migraines, and he'd need to lay in the dark. I'm not sure whether he got visual effects or not.

I get the migraine headache without the visual effects. And yeah, laying in a quiet, dark room to try and sleep it off is what works for me.

24.4°C and partly cloudy at 12:37pm. Supposed to get a thunderstorm this afternoon but I doubt it very much. It will probably happen in the north or east.
