And, we get a dangerous weather alert again. It may snow tomorrow. Code yellow.

Last weekend, there was around 5 cm of the white fluffy stuff. Train traffic became a disaster. A mere 5 cm, and thawing conditions. OK, there was a bit of black ice too, but barely.

Snow isn't Code White? Code Yellow sounds like it should mean something else.

Silly mastodon. Snow is white, also in the Netherlands. No matter if it falls from the sky or is found on mirrors.
Weather alerts come in three colours here. Yellow is for dangerous weather. Orange for extreme weather, and code red is a proper weather alarm.

That sounds suspiciously like our old terrorism threat level, which never actually dropped below yellow. Will you be getting the day off from school, to make snow cows and drink hot chocolate?

Apparently we can expect some snow to fall, later in the day. As a precaution train-schedules have been adapted already. This country is getting nuts with their fear of "extreme" weather situations.

Right now, it is clear, bit windy, even see sun. But rain or hail will not be far away and are not long gone. Bit over 3ºC.

I'm not but by the seaside is very windy.
I actually love 30ºC and up, I can't stand the winter and chilly weather, I always feel like hiding under the blankets and don't come out until it's June

I find temperatures weird. 30ºC and up in my country is absolutely horrifying, most of the times. Sticky and depressing. 30ºC in Rome was nice. Here I like it a lot when it is around 20ºC. Not really picky though. Apart from not liking 30ºC and up, and not liking it when wet around freezing point. Real frost I do not mind.

It's a balmy -2C - 27F with freezing rain on the way.

Ice accumulations...a trace.

Ice beginning...late this morning.

Period of most intense ice...early afternoon.

Ice ending...by 4 PM.

Maybe I will get to watch the frack trucks slip and slide up the highway today.

Even dry heat can be yuck but not as bad I hiked around in Natural Bridges National Park in Utah with my son when it was 112F(44.4C) you had to constantly drink but at least it didn't feel like you were sweating
