8F(-13.3C) windy with clear skies.   I'm glad I will be working in a somewhat heated building today :hyke:

Overcast and sometimes drizzly. Not exactly the weather they predicted yesterday. About 19C

It has become like any other January. About fourteen degrees Fahrenheit this morning. Heavy ice on my windows.

Kind of feel "surprised"  by the sudden onset of deep winter,  in that we had an atypically warm December (third warmest on record - a record which goes back to the late nineteenth century) with NO time for acclimatizing to winter's horror.

I already had my  "below-the-knee Winter Coat"  ready, though. I walked out to open the garage door so I could pre-start my car, via the remote start and decided right than that the big coat was the best choice.

It did not get above freezing today - typical January.

There was enough ice-rain to bring half the country to a halt.
No buses driving here at the moment. So no school for the kids.
Lots of schools more north from me are closed for the second day in a row.
