Once, back in winter of '77/'78, we had snow that melted within a minute of hitting the ground.

We do get snow up in the foothills/mountians, but I live at about 300 feet above sea level and it's extremely rare to get snow at this low of an elevation. It probably happens once every hundred years or so.

That would be ideal to be able to take a short drive to see snow, for me it would be a plane trip.
