Sydney stores a LOT of fresh water. Our main dam for water supply can hold twice as much water as Sydney Harbour.

After a few years of drought we were down to around 40% in January. We are now up above 80%, hopefully heading for close to 100% with more rain predicted.

The shockingly high temperatures of early summer have been replaced by very pleasant temperatures, like today's maximum of 23 Celsius. And it's sunny with a bit of light cloud.

26.9°C and cloudy at 1:40pm. There was significant rain in the southern part of the state but all of it went around us. We've had nothing. Recent maximums have been in the low 30s.

Wet and windy.

But, wind in the right direction. So very happy with it. Missed almost everything from the local Carnaval celebration, about 100 meter from my home.

Yesterday and today it's been like spring but we have a storm rolling through tomorrow. I'm hoping to be back from my morning meeting before the worst of it hits. Thursday I get to stay home so then I'm good.

The rain we were meant to have is gone now. It was a nice breezy day today, it didn't get above 26°C.

Right now it's a cool 23.5°C at 6:30pm. Partly cloudy.
