Not my favorite November.
We had near record breaking low temperatures two nights ago and well below record lows last night. We got six inches of snow, after the forecast predicted two inches. Roads were fine, no troubles. Hell, it was in the fifties three days ago. The ground is not yet frozen and the roads are well above freezing.

It reached 7F/-14C last night (bit like January, rather than November, FUCKSTERS!!) breaking a record low on this date for November and the wind was blowing still so " feel like temperatures"  were well below zero Fahrenheit.  My wife works outside, in that weather, doing all the good UPS work.

(I am so anxious for her to retire. She is trying to make it another three years. The difference between retiring now and holding to the end of her contract would mean eight hundred dollars per month in pension, if she can just hold out. She thinks she can do it.  --  I just want her safe at home!!)

Today it reached within a few degrees of freezing, but no sun still.
Kind of being still cold for the rest of the week, but no more record breaking cold crap.

We had a record low yesterday too (-22*C/-7*F). Today it's only -2*C

A couple of degrees above zero. Blue skies.

Nice day, actually. No wind, no precipitation, mild temperatures.

Heading out to the back yard to finish out with building up the soil in a raised bed I have built for next year. It came out to ninety six cubic feet of filler soil.
I need to top it up wet it down well and cover it for the winter.

I built an old man garden feature with a seat all around the top. I can either sit and garden, cultivate and thin or I can do stuff at just below waist level and simply have a seat when I need. I get a quick breath and I am back at it. I have faith in this evolved method for my  own use.

Sunny and just a hair above freezing.

Really nice, 22.9°C and sunny at 12:50pm.

I'm trying to cool the inside of the house by opening windows. When it gets hot, heat gets trapped inside.

About average temperatures for this time of year. First time in a week. Nice out, about forty two degrees Fahrenheit (about seven degrees C).

After wetting down my little "old man" gardening bed and having it settle well overnight, I was still twelve cubic feet or so shy of top filling the bed.
Early this morning I picked up twelve, three cubic feet bags of natural ground pine bark mulch, dug in four of them to the top foot or so and then spread out the remaining eight bags, some in that same bed and some in other areas still a little shy of a good mulch covering.

I decided not to cover my new bed up just yet. I will wait and allow all the early snows to work it over a bit more, until late January when the entire bed is a sold block of ice.
Then as the March sun beats on it, it will heat up quickly with the black covering and be ready to plant in early May, hopefully.

31 Celsius and very smoky here in the CBD. Smoky over the whole city actually, and much of the state.

^Are they giving warnings to stay inside? People with asthma?

23.6°C and cloudy at 10:45am. I wish every day was like this.

I assume that people are being warned. At work they just sent an email to the whole office offering free face masks and eye drops.

3*C but feels colder for some reason. Usually I'd find that balmy in winter.
