I don't want anything.
SKYBLUE suggested it and was wondering if its true.

I tell my wife that she is all the time.
Maybe too much.
I think she takes it for granted. ;)

Come now, you don't think he would be direct with me? When have you known the man to hold back?

You have an interesting way of picking at people from behind that shiny halo.     Very sneaky, sir!

nice pic
We know. you said it on the previous page, oh you want her to drop her man for you. I see
who knows

perhaps her husband doesnt tell her she is pretty, often enough

nothing wrong with saying something nice when a person is brave enough to post their pic

perhaps you should try it sometime
No ulterior motive.  Not being sneaky.
Misunderstood.

Uh-huh.

I have just been informed by my son that giant ice cubes can make one popular.  I'd love to know the logic behind this assertion.   ???

No logic?!  Ack!

Not your logic, silly.  Your line of thinking is quite clear.

I was referring to my son's logic.  He believes that giant ice cubes will boost his popularity.  How this will happen and with whom he will become popular remains a mystery.  And what exactly does he mean by "giant?"

Oh god...I'd better go check my freezer.

If he lived in the desert in the summer time he would be extremely popular.

And check your son. He may want to make himself COOL with those giant ice cubes. Makes perfect logical sense.

He was excited about making ice because he is learning about states of matter.  He waited for the water to freeze while he watched a Bill Nye video on the subject.

Apparently science = popularity.

Does your husband tell you that you are beautiful?

He's mentioned it a few times.  ;)

I can't read the intent of others very well.  I'm always a little suspicious that such remarks are manipulative in nature.  Isn't that awful?  My first thought is always, "What do you want and why can't you just ask me?"  He's finally starting to realize that if he is not direct with me I won't be receptive.  I will either ignore his attempts at manipulation or, depending on my mood at the time, I may turn into a RAGING PTERODACTYL.

Just to be honest, I would never remember to say that shit. Logically if you were married to me, we would have an very active sex life, and I mean wtf. I married you.

I would just assume that's enough, and you'd already know you were the best piece of ass around. Completely honest perspective here. Does anyone agree with my logic, or could they explain in detail why I am an insensitive bastard?

Ehhh, kind of.

Saying the same phrase over and over out of habit more than sentiment renders it meaningless.  When "I love you" becomes part of the small talk ritual that bothers me.  It isn't something that should be said casually IMO.

Commenting on attractiveness is different.  Still, I prefer something genuine over something forced or scripted.

But if it is important to your partner, then whatever.  You make concessions to keep them happy.  Some women demand worship in a relationship.  I guess you have to decide if dealing with that kind of ego in a person is worth it.

You might say it more often than you think.  Many of us have a tendency to voice what we're thinking in the moment.

Spouse: "Honey, why don't you ever compliment my clothes or ask me how i'm feeling or tell me i'm pretty? (or whatever people ask, I dunno I never paid attention when I had girlfriends lol)

Me: Mmmm?

Spouse: "Hun?"

Me: Huh? *grunt* WHAT? what the fuck difference does it make? I married you, so you know you aren't ugly, and you know you're fun to be with. Why do you need to hear that shit fifty times a day? Get your tight ass over here, you SEXY woman. Lets suck face like we're fucking teenagers and shit.

*face sucking, sex*  *all is forgotten for a day and a half maybe, then it repeats. AGAIN. AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN.*

Rage never learned why women need to hear this shit. HE grew old with this woman and never understood her to the day he died. The end.
