pressure relief valve on water heater has evidently been leaking for a while

It is leaking like an open faucet now

Had to cut water off, of course the water heater itself is cut off at the breaker box

Hoping they can replace the valve tomorrow

Just cap it off and disable the thermostat it could be like the water heater rocket episode on Mythbusters

Looked at some How-to videos

I can do it myself

But I want someone to blame if it isnt right

So, will hire it out

I'm invited to brunch on Sunday.  That's all fine and dandy, but now I have to get up.  Like, early.  :'(
