My favorite movies have been on TV too often lately.  I'm getting tired of them.

Trust me, I understand. :'(

Just now, I realised that the BA lounge doesn't have the beer I like. Horrible.

To make it even worse, I have to get up and get the beer myself. Also, there are no crisps nearby, I'd have to walk to the other side of the lounge. What were they thinking? Not me, that's for sure.

The credit card companies keep sending me pre-approvals, but I have to fill out paperwork first.  :'(

I hope you have a good reason to get a credit card. They are the pits, really. I am in major debt with mine and I am on the pension, meaning I shouldn't be having a credit card at all.

So far I've just let the offers expire.  It might just be good to have one for online purchases. :apondering:

That is where all the money went from mine. Now I think of it as being the bank's money and I have to pay it back.

I originally got it for going on holiday to Thailand. Credit cards are so useful when overseas.

They are useful for tracking company expenses.

They are useful for tracking company expenses.

They indicate where the $ was spent, but do they indicate what the $ was spent on?  For example, alcoholic beverages may not be reimbursable or tax deductible. The credit card transaction probably wouldn't break this out.

Why not use a debit card instead? I do. And I've saved up almost half a grand. Which I'm going to spend on the lab. I want to try and build an ion-trap mass spec. Using fourier-transform cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry and using a Penning trap or orbitrap magnetic confinement setup for the ion packets to be analyzed.

The transaction log mercifully does not mention the alcoholic beverages. :zoinks:

Seriously, though, the company card is useful when used right. It makes the paperwork that follows so much easier.

A lot of my company expenses happen some weeks before I get paid for the services those expenses are needed for. A credit card does the trick of moving and grouping the cost.
