Transcript of a delightfull phonecall i had yesterday morning...!

 Just had a rather funny phone call from a young woman... Here's how it went.

Me: Hello
Woman: Hello sir are you Mr Coventry?
Me: Yes i am, who are you?
Woman: My name is not important, i work for a company called UK Today and i am ringing you today to...
Me: Where is your company based?
Woman: I do not know that information sir.
Me: You Don't know where your business is located?
Woman: Yes sir, i do not have that information.
Me: Ok then, Where are you calling from?
Woman: I am calling from a call centre in India.
Me: Ok, so you can't tell me your name or where you business is located and even though your company is called UK Today you are not actually located in the UK, have i got that right?
Woman: Yes Sir, Now as i was saying i am with...
Me: Could you please remove me off your.... Phone disconnects.

Nice work   I rarely answer the phone unless it's from a local area code anymore, if it's important they will leave a message

Next time you get a call from an unknown number, whisper, "it is done, but there is blood everywhere." And hang up.

I used to put them on hold and see how long the light stayed lit. 

Did away with the landline, and I don't answer the cell unless I know the number.

Well that would be fine, but the callcentres in the UK can't ahngup on you where as India doesn't seem to have that problem and they hang up as soon as you mention the Telephone prefference service!

The other day, when I was in a shitty mood, I got a phone call again, starting with 1245. Right in time, I just needed to get rid of my pissed-offness.

So, I answer the phone. A woman talks to me, in English asking if I speak English. Me: "Ik begrijp geen engels". So, she keeps talking on, in English, and I keep telling her I do not understand English. Asking her in Dutch: "What are you saying? I do not understand you." She is silent now and then, and then starts talking in English again. And louder I ask her what she is saying and that I do not understand her. I keep raising my voice, walking into the garden not to upset a sick girl, shouting in the horn.

I know that that Indian lady did not deserve this, she is in this for a living. But, they've called me so many times now, that I could use them for a bit of blowing of steam. By the time I disconnected, my shitty mood was gone.

So, I enjoyed their services.

  Some kid (a wrong number) kept calling my sister asking for  "Kevin,"  even though she explained several times
  that there was no Kevin there.  Finally, one night, the kid called again and my sister shouted,  "KEVIN'S  DEAD!"
