Well, we "knew" this, in principle, but here it is black on white: NSA collecting phone records of millions of Verizon customers daily

What pisses me off more than this is those who say "Nothing to hide, nothing to fear", and I'm seeing on news comment sections. I'm pretty sure that very line of reasoning has been said many times in history during the advent of a tyranny. The U.S isn't immune to encroaching authoritarianism and yet they deny it's happening in face of these revelations. So while it's been known for a while, my bigger concern is the apathy and ignorance that a lot of people seem to have about it. Or at least I hope most of those comments are shills.

  I, unfortunately, do not think most of those comments shills and the US is generally a brainwashed, brain-dead nation. Very few people I come in contact with understand the tyranny that is among us, what their freedom ought to mean, and the consequences that could come from being apathetic. On another note, I think tyranny is already here more than most realize, to the point the president is naught but a figurehead, a face to place the blame. He is in no more control than you or me, he just smiles prettier and makes more money.

I don't believe in karma. the golden rule of doing unto others as you would have them do to you is good practice, but I don't think it has anything to do with karma.
