An odd religous question

Today I worked on a three family house in a kinda fancy urban nieghborhood, just off the main street which is filled with restaurants, fancy coffee places and pricy bars.  Around 11am the smells began drifting up at first it was steak and it smelled ooohh so good then about 1 it shifted to bacon still good to me but what of jews or muslims?  I mean it was all I could smell on the third floor till I left at 330 and it was strong it made me wonder if they would find it offensive and possibly even a reason to break a lease.  Little more on the location it's in New Haven which has a large orthodox community and its near Yale University.  Any thoughts?

Nobody lives there yet the house was gutted and being renovated and if prospective renters come at a time when it's smell free they might be in for a surprise later.

People tend to acclimate to smells with time and continual exposure, even the really bad ones.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the sense of smell can be so irrational at times and may vary a lot in intensity between one individual and another, so that you may smell something that stinks to the point he may feel tortured but another person right next to you may not notice and another may notice but be like "no big deal, it's not that bad"

I guess it's like anything else, some people get used to it.

There's a chemical plant in the town just up river from where my son's girlfriend lives. Going through there one day I mistakenly left my windows open on the truck, my nose started burning, and my eyes started burning so bad I was in tears. I'm rolling up my windows and glance over at the near by houses to see people sitting out on the porch.

I know damn well I could never get used to something like that though...bacon and steak though...no problem.
