It felt like that after my laser surgery in 1991. I know how that feels too.

Yes, that sounds more like it.

I'm trying to be :viking: but I also have an appointment with my ophthalmologist today. :arrr:

Chronic conjunctivitis is one of the things I am dreading. I'm now in an on and off blepharitis stage of my rosacea. Conjunctivitis is probably next in line. Not looking forward to long term use of oral antibiotics. But, I am still in the clear. Just living with a chronic sand in my eyes sensation.

I hope you can get rid of it.

I think so.

There is still some swelling after the surgery, but there is also scarring. That latter causes difficulties lubricating the eye normally and so provides the bacteria with a nice home. Hence conjunctivitis and renewed swelling.

I'm told that they can remove some of that scarring with another operation. It's been done to others in my situation.

This is different. It feels more like acid in your eye.

I wish I had some advice to give to make it sting less. I hope it gets better soon. Maybe rub some turmeric powder mixed with water around (not in) your eyelid before bed...it'll turn your skin yellow, but it may also help fight infection. This is an entirely experimental suggestion. It may or may not work. Turmeric is a natural antibiotic.
Can't you guys even just imagine it?

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?

It's there. It always was.

Here's a neat bit of info on it:

You don't have to buy pills of it, just get the normal turmeric powder at a store.

I hope not. :(

I hate this. Yes, the operation was a success but the side effects are no fun to deal with. Today I got two cortisone prescriptions "just in case".

It feels better, right now, but it is always better in the mornings.
