Best show/video game music

Who else likes Bear McCreary's music?

Songs I really like are from:
Black Sails
Outlander

(probably because of the celtic-ness)

The Walking Dead compositions are also cool...mainly because they sort of have this misleading uplifting quality that is then countered with an ominous key shift...a reminder to stay alert for hidden danger.

--

Aside from McCreary I really like the theme from Game of Thrones by Ramin Djawadi...who couldn't?

--

I also like the American Horror Story theme by Charlie Clouser, but I suspect it has more to do with the the first season's opening video...the music feels less compelling without the season 1 visual.
Can't you guys even just imagine it?

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?

It's there. It always was.

The Mass Effect series has some pretty good music, in fact it's probably it's soundtrack that sparked my interest in classical music to begin with:
Mass Effect 2's music was composed by Jack Wall, Sam Hulick, David Kates & Jimmy Hinson

Even the character mission music suits some of the characters perfectly:

Samara is an Asari Justicar, a warrior monk of sorts. Just listen to the music and try to tell me you don't think about ancient warriors

Mordin is a scientist, so they gave the music for his mission a "techie" vibe. They did the same with Legion's music too.

While not a squadmate, David is a minor character from the series. This music plays during a scene in Overlord. I won't tell you what happens as it's spoiler territory but it's pretty damn tragic. Depending on your choices, you hear the soundtrack again in the third game.

A lot of 3's music has a tragic vibe to it:

But these ones are quite hopeful

And I can't really talk about the music produced by this beautiful trilogy without mentioning the romance themes:

In my opinion 2 had the best romance theme.

Of course, there's this music too:

I could post post after post about the amazing soundtrack, but I'll stop here

My favorites from the games.

I play the opening every time I play the game, damn I love this one. Sam B..."Who Do You Voodoo?"

Oh hell, and I can't forget how many Bard's I've given my gold to so that they could sing this one....Dovahkiin

No good melee killing spree is complete without Butcher Pete.

...and if you've ever been to Pittsburgh you'd know this was a perfect choice for entering Hell in a pickup truck....Hank Williams..."Alone and Forsaken"

I haven't played Dragon Age: Inquisition because I've been too broke to buy any new games

But the theme makes me crave it even more!
