Petted an elderly lady, couple of days ago. She started it, by tapping my arm. After a funny conversation, I petted her on her shoulder.

Got hugged this morning, on the doorstep of work.

And then played fake basketball while working.

Playing is good for bovines. Shrugging and hugging and petting too.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

Because it's wrong. It's not natural.

It can be very wrong, I agree, but it can be oh so good too.
I got petted by a dog too, yesterday. A mix between a Collie and a German Shepherd. She was sweet, golden brown, very slim and a very long nose, for a shepherd. The dog petting me, did give the owner the right/chance to claim my attention though. Took me 15 minutes to get away from her, and I did not even know who she was.  :GA: She was no petting material.

Usually it's not the dogs who are the problem, but the owners.  :thumbdn:

Don't take this the wrong way Kapkao, but I think I would be deeply disappointed if I met you in person unless you were wearing that exact expression all the time.  That is how I picture you in my head, a stick body with that face typing away at the computer.

I purr when petted.  :M

You know, when I first saw this thread, I thought is said eating people, which I think is a very good idea.  But then I saw that it said "petting" which I'm totally against.
