For example, for plenty of little reasons, coming together, demographics etc, in Norway, rampant tabliodism is very limited. We have only 2 magazines that feature this kind of papparazziism, and even then it's relatively mild.
We have some good-morning shows, where gossip is "discussed", but not much else related to this kind of media.

In Spain however, hey had the "all-out" version: Tabloid TV-show, with a glaring lack of regulation. A daily show, each episode FOUR... HOURS... long. In Norway this is forbidden, it's not even an issue. Any chat-show cannot be more than one hour, and rarely exceed 45 minutes.
FOUR HOURS of yelling, arguing, bickering, in between endless reels of amateur footage, usually some asshole chasing some celeb around, and the celeb on the verge of tears "Please! For the last time, I am BEGGING you STOP FOLLOWING ME!"
Followed by hours of debating what he wore, why on earth he sound so upset... My grandma watches it.

It felt surreal, like, I'd be at the computer, feel like a soda, go to the kitchen - on my way there I see grandma watching these people argue about celebs, I go back, surf internet, chat, watch a movie, go back, shes still watching the same argument going on.

Also, at night, Norwegian channels have these sms text "shows", with lame quizzes and stuff, usually retarded quizzes, "Guess what city: LOS ANGEL_S" and people are guessing "um... italy?" "no, that's not a city!"
IN SPAIN however, they had moved beyond that. Some countries just go fuck-it, and feature a naked woman exchanging sms texts.
Spain are beyond that too.

Yes, it's a harsh show, cus they are good at it. They are very "trolly", they are very good at controlling their expressions, to feign interest or good-will, and keep that attitude just to unsettle their guests - if that guest deserves such of course

One show I am amazed is even legal is "Paradise hotel", they just advertised for a new season. But this is "TV3" and airs from London, somehow circumventing Norwegian law, and thriving at it, idunno how... but it airs at best hours, main demographics seem to be young teens... and it is _almost_ porn. Sometimes it IS porn, the only thing distinguishing this show from porn is that in porn you expect continous fucking on screen. In "Paradise hotel" there is only occational fucking. But yeah, just skipped the rules, and airs it at best hours, with kids watching Advertise for it at best hours too, they threw in some contestant chicks voice "I go crazy in parties! I'm not afraid to get naked!"

In one show they had a quiz, and they asked who the American president was. This was when Obama just won. America. Obama. President. Black.
None of them knew.
One of them even exclaimed "Who knows such stuff anyway? I'm not some professor!"

I just finished watching an episode of Ancient Aliens. I love how they only ask questions and let the interviewed nutjobs produce their frequently unrelated theories on something completely different as some sort of answer, all this while cutting between launch footage from NASA, control rooms and hieroglyphs.

"Could it be that von Braun's fascination with space travel was in essence the prolongation of the SS and their freemasonry rituals and the Egyptian god Osiris, thereby proving that yes, we were indeed the offspring of ancient aliens?" I say these guys are silly and sensationalized, but I do not refute their core claim. The furiously pursue that this planet was visited by aliens in the past. I won't say that we were not visited by aliens.
