Today I've been taking advantage of my concession Go Card*, which expires this coming Wednesday. I caught the train up to Nambour, had lunch, explored for a bit and took photos.

*Public transport smartcard.

I shall be doing that today.  Fed the family and went clothes shopping for the Princess Royal.

I went to the Carquinez Bridge and walked over to Contra Costa County and back. That is just shy of 4 miles. Then I looked at stuff I am not going to buy at a gun shop, returned to Vallejo and walked another 1.5 miles on the waterfront.

I took the PR to her first "college" class.  I sat in the back with the prof's permission so I could find out the "rules" in case the PR had any questions.  Well, the teacher gave them 12 math problems.  I could see the PR's head sinking lower and lower and her shoulders just slumping with each problem.

Now she's all dejected and thinks she won't be able to reach her dream of Harvard Law School.  I told her she could either go to the tutoring class or I would help her with it.  The usual pep talk of "you won't know everything, that's why there are tutors, etc."  It's going to be a long 7 weeks.

Crazy, I'm halfway to crazy
Suicide would waste me
Homicide would break me
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Oh, is life as bad as dreams
I guess that's just the way it seems

Took another 4 mile walk across the Carquinez Bridge and back. Went to Menlo Park and bought 500 rounds of 147 grain HST 9mm JHP ammo for $200 :woohoo: Stopped at Emeryville for Afghan curry, came home and walked another 1.5 mile on the waterfront.  :2thumbsup:

Are  you related to Prince Albert's family?  His parents were the craziest bunch of walkers I ever met.  His mom used to walk 5 miles one way to get an allergy shot.  His father seldom sat down, usually to eat.   I used to joke that they would walk to and from Baton Rouge (90 miles) just for the hell of it.

Good luck on your "losing" cause.  My knees won't take the pounding of walking and our wallet can't take the pounding of a YMCA or gym.

That is too bad since walking is easy and cheap.

Played games on my computer.
Went into the city and:
had lunch
went to the library
went on the Wheel of Brisbane en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_of_Brisbane
caught a CityCat down the Brisbane river.
