talked to some social workers. played in the garden with the dog. arranged to go to the nature reserve to get to know a woman i've forgotten the name of (good start), had some chips n gravy from the chippy.  what else...? uhh.... nothing  i can think of. fuck all probably. my family are getting back from ireland today though. i might see if they'll go to the beach with me tomorrow. shit i need to do some work. 10,000 words to do by next friday

Started to tear apart an old Ford flathead engine I want to rebuild. I need to check if it's been overbored; and if it is able to be overbored again.
It's coming apart surprisingly well figuring it's older than I am (older than my mom actually) and has been sitting outside for the past five years.

I believe I killed a huge yellow jacket's nest that was in my gas barbecue grill.

I waited until after midnight, moved the grill further away from the house, turned on the gas, lit it, and let it burn for about half an hour.
