@Callaway: I flew from Sydney to Canada for a 2-week stay because one of my grandmothers has terminal cancer and probably won't be with us for much longer. I've seen her a couple of times already. Whatever pain-management meds they have her on, she's the calmest I've ever known her to be, she's still got her wits about her and she still has a bit of physical stamina. She's in the right place and being looked after very well, so all in all, it's as good as it can be.

That's too bad about your grandma SD. Losing mine last year sucked.

Today I went to the waterfront and took two separate 2 mile walks. I also got some pictures to post later.

Sorry about your grandmother.  I have lost both of mine too.  Does she have any children who live near her?

Got up early, walked 3 miles on the waterfront. There is an Indian Pow Wow in town @ the waterfront, I may go back there for a silver and turquoise cross to wear around my neck.

Yes it is. I really like the Nephrite Jade too. But what I brought back from NZ I gave to my dad. Next time I go I'll get some for myself. Richard gave me a link for buying Fire Agate. That is a really beautiful stone.

Slept in (got enough sleep!!!), exercised, prepped for a test I have next week, went for a walk and bought some (much needed) pens, showered, worked on a paper (prolly more than halfway done with it), wrote my grandmother a nice letter, and housecleaned.  All at my own damn pace.  It was fantastic.  I feel relaxed and accomplished, which is rare as all hell lately.  :)

Went up mom's to haul the trash out, do a little weeding and dig out a stump so I don't have to try and mow around it anymore.
