Ok man. You confirmed my theory, sort of. I theorized that back when we were all neandrethals or niggers or cro magnons or whatever.  There were hunters and gatherers. I believe that the wierd ass shopping phenomenon is some sort of gatherer instinct. "I must pluck the choicest and ripest veggies and bring them back to my family". Maybe?

Yeah, something like that.  :P

Combined with hoarding, especially in people who lived through disasters or poor economic times like the Depression, who will buy things to have them around "just to be safe", even if they already have three.

It's not just that, because smart monkeys have learned to trade and go to flea markets. My mom is a smart monkey. She buys shit just because it is discounted to cost.

 ::)

Then she goes to trade or donate it to people she can bargain with for good deals on crapshite she actually wants.

:hair:

I suppose she made my life better in some ways with this instinct, but I just don't want to watch -- kind of like seeing sausage being made. It's fine to eat, but just don't watch them make it!!!

Threaded some blue LED fairy lights through some clear PVC tubing and then sealed the tubing with silicone.  It was a fairly long, narrow, curly piece of tubing, so threading the lights through it was a complete bastard, but I got there eventually.  It's going to go in my pond, and hopefully will look pretty and show off the fish at night.

Sounds cool.

Blue lights on goldfish (is that right - you keep some genus related to goldfish?) or any fish can be very interesting!

I've got common goldfish and a fairly respectable shoal of native fish that live in the rivers around here and grow to a couple of inches in length.

went off on my boss again. I probably need to stop doing that.

I am a little perturbed due to the fact that the bigger bosses have cut our work hours to the point that I will have a difficult time finishing the required courses, before some time in May at the rate they have allowed the staff to work. I know there's a crunch, but it's temporary, FFS.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that I'm not really learning by taking these courses. I totally have all this shit, but I must pass their computer oriented "eLearnings" before I qualify for the decent raise that was promised to me and yet, I am already doing the work.

 :hahaha:.

My ass has  become more focused on the course than the work for the near future. FUCKIT!! There's a reason they need smart people doing this shit, but I deserve to be paid for it - same as them and their shit!

Shoveled snow, put the kid on the bus, removed the cat from my curtains, and had coffee.

All this excitement is bad for my heart.

People will always take advantage of you if you let them. Most people are inherently evil and selfish. You just have to make a stand when you see the opportunity man.

As little as possible. That wasn't the plan, but that is what happened. I start a new job tomorrow, dayshift training Friday and go back to work nightshift Teusday. Maybe getting back to work after 2 months 10 days will make me more energetic.

Fuck work. Fuck bosses. Fuck the government> let's see Congress vote themselves a pay raise now. If they do that, I will personally lead the march down Pennsylvania Ave to lynch the motherfuckers.
