surfed youtube looking for christmas videos i have not seen yet. watched santa claus conquers the martians. thought about how things have changed since then. they showed a computer that took up a huge room and i am sure did not have as much memory as my notebook. wished there were such a thing as martians.

marked scripts; squeezed in some knitting; did some washing; went for a run; marked some more; had special solstice lunch (happy solstice, to whoever celebrates it); marked some more; got on here for a few minutes; about to work online with my OU students and then do some marking.

sigh...

Died, dug myself out, died again, dug half way out, paused, decided to dig the other way.
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Finished Christmas shopping. Did some house cleaning. Drove a carload of planks, old windows, various pieces of metal, etc, to a recycling station.

Bought beer. :zoinks:

I spent the entire day cuddling with my sweet little cat, and telling her all my problems. I could almost swear she has a "knowing", or "understanding" look sometimes.

My dog has a 'great, a cuddle!' look sometimes, and occasionally a 'go away, I want to sleep' look.  When I pick her up and carry her around, she often has a 'where are we going?  Will there be food?' look.

Once again I stand by the fact that cats have an actual spoken language. So do dogs for that matter.
