Today I started using YouTube as my personal radio station, so I can listen to beloved old favorite tunes that are hard to find on CD!  :notes:

Have you tried Pandora's Box?

www.pandora.com

From memory it was OK...what you do is select your preferred music bands etc and then it intuitively plays similar music, so you get nice surprises in between!

It's only available to US residents now, but it was about 4 years ago I first saw it and it wasn't bad then.

Thank you, never heard of that! I will definitely check it out.  ;D

Hope there's something in the mail that's worth staying awake for...maybe some sheet music for your ukulele?

I hope they arrive safely so you can put them in your room, then lock the doors and go back to sleep!  :dream:

I woke at 4:15 am, and fell deep asleep at the first sounds of my alarm, three hours later.

Not the first time that the sound of the alarm works like a hypnotising device.

Did get up just in time to be able to race the kids fed and well out of the door for school at the right timing.

Watched some movies, played video games and read articles about Quantum Superposition and Diffraction.
Existence actually has two broad meanings despite its apparent meaningless. The constant reconciliation of all its parts, and the conservation of any closed system as a whole.

Morality can be extrapolated from these meanings to make these two commandments of godless morality: 1). Be in harmony with one another and 2). Care for the environment.

Oddly enough, I think I understand how this might work. You're lying in bed thinking, "Sooner or later the bloody alarm clock's going to go off in my ear. Soon. Any minute now. Any second now." And by the time it finally does go off in your ear, you have built yourself up to the point where you now heave a huge sigh of relief, say, "Whew, thank Unnamed Deity, now I can finally relax!" and you go straight back to sleep. Does this sound plausible?  :)

That, and the snooze option being programmed in me, to have a final short dozing off, every morning.

There should be ways to trigger that when in bed sleepless, waiting for the night to pass by.
