You win this thread because that's most unsettling to even think about.

I was anemic when I was a kid and my mother tried to sneak beef liver onto my plate.

I could not eat it.

I just looked and found a website with vegan sources of iron:

http://www.chezbettay.com/pages/health1/h_ironfoods1.html

I didn't realize that cooked soybeans and lentils have more iron than cooked spinach.

If you take iron supplements and they cause constipation, you can drink prune juice, which is also a reasonably good iron source.

I had an interview today, but it was a formality. Since more thatn one person applied for the position, they legally had to interview all of us, even though it was clear someone was getting promoted up to the position.

I got there and the secretary handed me a sheet of paper with 8 questions on it. She then read a formal statement explaining the process and started a clock giving me 10
minutes to prepare responses. I only got through 3 questions during my prep time.

Then she takes me into another room where three panel members sat there while I answered the questions on the form in as much detail as I wanted and in whatever order I wanted. Prior to starting they too read a formal statement about the process and how I had 40 minutes to talk. One of the panel members was from the Equal Employment Opportunity office to make sure everything met the legal guidelines.

I only used 25 minutes and was bouncing all around with the questions because they were all intertwined with respect to meeting the qualifications to do the job. Once I was done, the panel was supposed to ask additional questions based upon my responses to the written questions. They asked none. As if that was an indcation they really weren't interested in me for the position.

It was the wierdest interview I have ever done. That previous one was all about getting to know me and selling me on their organization and program. This was a joke.
Crazy, I'm halfway to crazy
Suicide would waste me
Homicide would break me
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Oh, is life as bad as dreams
I guess that's just the way it seems

That does sound like a very weird interview, like it was just a formality to interview the other people so they could claim they did it.  It was also weird they asked you no questions at all.

Fixed a tumble dryer belonging to mum's partner.  It had a lot of lint clogging it up and one of the carbon bearing pads had broken, so there was a lot of friction and the motor was stalling when trying to spin the drum.  I removed the broken pad and cleaned out most of the lint, and it's working now, but the machine is a piece of crap, so it might pack up again fairly soon.  It has sheet steel panels and struts that are so thin they warped and dented while I was handling them, and the mechanical timer is the most sophisticated component in it.

Cleaned out were the furnace filter goes and installed a new one.  Also put a cleanout near the damper for the upstairs duct work and checked to make sure the damper was open as it's been cold up there.  Next if it continues is opening the clean out on top of the furnace to look fr problems
