black jackets!!

 

A few yellow jackets that came out and attacked the back yard light when I turned it on and moved the grill last night are crawling around on the part of the nest that extended a few inches out of the grill.  It is black near the grill, but still gray on the rest, so I hope that part of the nest was killed, too.

I didn't want to spray wasp killer into the grill because we cook food there, but maybe I could spray some on the part of the nest that's outside the grill if I have to.

I had my brain fooled today.

Had handtherapy. And had to work with a mirror. I could only see my left hand, and the reflection of it, on the place where my right hand was supposed to be for my brain. Then I had to do things symmetrically with my left and my right hand. Very weird. Especially when after a while I noticed my right hand could come closer to the achievements the hand I could see could do.

Weird thing, tricking the brain like that. Very funny.

Now I've got sore muscles in my rightindexfinger  :lol:

I thought there were no muscles in fingers?

like when you do taht thing where you have all your fingers straight apart from the middle one. if you then bend the middle one forward, it can only go so far. you can't bend it at the last jointy bit because it doesn't stretch that far when the other fingers are all straight.

can you tell i don't know shit about this kinda thing?

There has to be muscle tissue in fingers otherwise you wouldn't be able to move them

We work our fingers by remote control. Of course, in one sense, we work all of our moving body parts by remote control - the control center is our brain. However, the fingers are special, because there are no muscles inside the fingers. The muscles which bend the finger joints are located in the palm and up in the mid forearm, and are connected to the finger

Got up at 6:00 drove to a community yard sale, walked around until noon, came home, drove mom to check on a car, drove to the notary, drove back to get the car, drove the car home, ate & then cut the neighbor's grass for her.

The flexor tendons in the palm and the nerves associated with them that join through the carpal tunnel are what control movement of the fingers. However, because of the thickness of the fingers it does FEEL like there is muscle tissue.

Got up around 11 AM AEST, looked around here for a bit, did some more drumming (Orbison and other stuff) and got back on here.

Helped a friend throw away an old sofa and replace it with a new(-ish) he got from us.
