This morning I took a walk over the bridge that goes to Contra Costa County. It was 4 miles there and back. Then @ 3:30 pm I went to my friend Steve's going away party. The original intent was for Steve to be there to say bye to everyone, but late last month his condition got abruptly worse and he died on August 1st. His wife Becky decided the party must go on and there was opportunity to see old friends and the food was great, including potato salad, green salad, enchiladas, lumpia, fried chicken, cup cakes and pineapple upside down cake.
A prayer for Steve was given by the Chaplain of Bikers For Christ.
This pic made me think of an episode of Gangland where a St Louis cop said outlaw bikers back up to park to hide their license plates from the cops. Fucking idiot. They park that way to make it easier to pull out when leaving.
Here is the table with guest registry.
I like this guy's shirt. Cancer is a POS way to go.
I was planning on showing up and leaving fairly quickly but I ended up staying 4 hours because I liked seeing some old friends. With funerals and wakes you might as well have a good time talking to people you care about because the one you lost is dead anyway and will remain so. RIP Steven.
