and i just remembered something else we used to do

dunno why but it really tickled me 

there were some apartment blocks with twelve flats in.  We used to play in the corridors when it was cold and would always get shouted at.  Anyway we noticed one flat didn't have a doormat outside,  so we used to get everyone else's and pile them up outside the one without!  it makes me laugh now just thinking about it
