Hi Sophist. I bookmarked that and will try to remember to go back later. I'm PPK BTW.
Ah howdy! Love the pic! Geoffrey Rush is part of my Holy Trinity (plus Anthony Hopkins and Liam Neeson).
Long time no see. I'll check it out.
Heya, definitely LTNS. How're things going for you?
Welcome back. Hope you decide to post some, again.
I should. I seem to go through waves regarding forums nowadays.
How are you these days? Everything OK?
Well, the dissertation itself is improving slightly but is still a major pain in the ass. Unfortunately I'm stuck working on spinal cord with a crappy mentor.
But in my spare time I've been very productive with my sig. other, collaborating on various writing and research projects. I've designed a current project looking at a particular aspect of periodicity within the genome. I think I've found something foundational which I haven't found reported in the literature yet, so I'm highly hopeful. We're just starting more in-depth sequencing.
Personal life is great. I moved in with Manny last July and we're just one big happy family. My mother is also doing better, having beaten the GI cancer-- and even more difficult, the post-surgery Clostridium infection which she said was far worse than the cancer, ironically. She's still on the mend but it's looking very positive.
So basically, all's going well right now except my dissertation. But I don't have high hopes for it; I just want my degree, that's it. I'm not placing my eggs in the basket but in my other side work which has been far more innovative and productive. When it comes time for job-seeking, my CV will be based on that.
How're things for you?
They don’t lie in wait like some timid lover but aggressively seek their molecular partners, offering welcoming curves to a desired protein, RNA, or metal, and then in an instant change direction and rebuff their partner’s advances.
Speaking from personal experience?
Alas, I've had to take the word of others. I'm still a virgin in that respect.
