Thanks. It was an interesting storm mostly just prolonged high winds and coastal flooding. I figured the flooding to be about 13 feet above normal high tide and that it would have to be 10 feet higher to get to my house.
The last really big storm damage I have seen, with my own eyes, was somewhere in the seventies, couple of November storms, when lots and lots of trees were uprooted. Forests almost remaining bare, with just the strongest oaks still standing.
Would not like a spring tide, heavy storms, and dykes collapsing here. Then I would have to rely on the strength of the roof of my house. But, that would take quite a few dykes collapsing, the right moon and, am extreme north west gale, so, not worrying about that.
