Cactus, 20?? - 2012
« on: October 26, 2012, 12:16:11 AM »
Good bye little cactus. Or, rather big, depending. I know you didn't ask for this, and I'm sorry for the 2,5 years your life begun to deteriorate, with no hope of improvement. I can only hope your previous owners provided you with such a good life, you at least have that to think back to, where you lay in a double plastic bag, outside in the snow, next to the frozen shut trash cans...
How gruesome and ironic it is, that your last moments be exactly what I tried to prevent in the first place, when trying to move you away from the window, to save you from the cold of winter. Your own spines even coming in the way of your own salvation.

I'm sorry

I think people shouldn't automatically say that, when there's a death happened. Of the few things that would actually offend an atheist, I think that is one of them :D
Someone said that to my grandmother when my late uncle was crashed to death on his motorcycle, "he's in a better place now!" and she _knew_ he was rotting underground - otherwise she wouldn't be crying her eyes out. There's no heaven, and he was in NO better place, he was dead, and it was horrible. She was enfuriated by those comments, although not openly, cus she knew they came from a good place:D

My friends mother just recently died, and I had absolutely no idea what to respond. At first I just changed topic back to what we were gonna do, how to meet up, coordinate buses, all that jazz. When we finally met, all I managed to say was that at least he knew it was coming, and that a surprising and shocking death would probably be much tougher to deal with :I
Otherwise, I kept my mouth shut - for safety :I He is as atheistic as me, so a "better place" routine would probably just piss him off, since he knows I don't believe it either :D

I AM ENFURIATED TOO! >:I

About the only thing I say at funerals is  "I'm sorry."  Just about anything else
can backfire, depending on the personal beliefs of the bereaved.  I keep it simple.  :tard:

Sending any sort of live plants internationally can be difficult

No worries :D I am terrible at taking care of plants.
Animals is easy, cus you feed them daily, and they let you know when they want attention :D

Plants just sit there :D

Overwatering, insufficient sunlight, or temperatures that are too cold are probably the commonest ways to kill a cactus.

You could probably not even get it out from the States. You'd have men in black visiting in no time. :zoinks:
