WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington Police Officers stumbled upon a marijuana "grow" operation recently after being called to a home to investigate a break-in, according to a spokesperson with the WPD.

Officers received a call around 2:08 p.m. Wednesday about a breaking and entering in progress in the 2300 block of Market Street.
 
When they arrived on scene, they met the home's resident, Dr. Sheila Cooper, an optometrist who is employed at Cooper Optometry Group at Independence Mall. Cooper said that she came home for lunch to find a back window open. When she went into the house, she heard a noise upstairs, so she went back outside and called police.
 
Officers searched the home for any possible intruders, and in doing so, discovered what looked to be a marijuana growing operation in Cooper's basement.

It looks like she may be eligible for up to a year in jail. It would suck for her to lose her job over this. http://www.criminaldefenselawyer.com/marijuana-laws-and-penalties/north-carolina.htm Pot prices are way up there nowadays.

Not sure I'd want a cross eyed pot smokin optometrist as my doctor. Her opinion may be a little off if she's a little high and helluva lot cross eyed. :P

Existence actually has two broad meanings despite its apparent meaningless. The constant reconciliation of all its parts, and the conservation of any closed system as a whole.

Morality can be extrapolated from these meanings to make these two commandments of godless morality: 1). Be in harmony with one another and 2). Care for the environment.
