You cant bring the world up to the standards that the middle class, used to enjoy in this country. So you take away from us, until we are down to their standards.

At this point in time, should it not be more important, for us to be paying attention to us, instead of them. Them being the rest of the world, and the top1% in this country

Best solution, Flat tax rate, no loopholes. Everyone pays according to a set schedule

Different tax rate for business, but no loopholes, no hiding money or assets off shore.

The problem with your suggestion (idyllic though it is) is that most of the D.C. law-makers are in the pockets of either multinational Big Business or political action commitees/chain-smoking lobbyists.   There's a Carlin line relevant to this, and it's hanging about in one of his 90's recorded standup acts.

So, you'll have to find a way to root out the current highly corrupt two-party status quo from action in D.C.
