but then... I'm sure I can live with not seeing things the same way that you do

Just barely, though, considering how you keep bitching about her.

Surely you've heard of Actor's Soup?  Back in the early days, broke actors would order a cup of tea, bag on the side.  They'd then mix the ketchup at the table with the hot water and crumble in crackers.  They'd keep on ordering more hot water for their "tea."

Sounds like the kind of thing you only have to do if you are already resorting to soup kitchens.  Leaves more money for shiny stuff.

I have a question: As a vegan, what do you normally eat in a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner? I was talking to my mum about this and she is curious.

Using yesterday as an example:

Started the day with Vegan Raw Oatmeal.  This is my new favorite thing in the world and consists of thick cut organic oats, vanilla almond milk, Chia seeds and a smashed up banana.  Mix these together, leave them in your fridge for 4-8 hours and stir in almond butter and honey in the morning.  Delicious.

Lunch was a Dr. Praeger veggie burger on whole wheat with carrot sticks and homemade garlic and roasted red pepper hummus on the side.  http://www.drpraegers.com/California-Veggie-Burgers-P127.aspx

Dinner was a sweet potato vegan lasagna that I baked over the weekend.  Took 3 hours to prep, but amazing stuff.  Filled with spinach, mashed sweet potatoes, carrots, broccoli, peppers, onions, mushrooms and tofu.

Dessert was Mango sorbet.

Lasagna without the mushrooms sounds good as does the mango sorbet (yum) but I don't think I could eat the oatmeal. Almond stuff makes me feel kind of sick. I could drink soy though, can you have that?

Of course :)  Soy, almond, oat, rice, coconut and hemp are all popular forms of plant milk these days.  Almond is better for you than soy, but soy is always the old stand-by option.

I am allergic to both soy milk and rice milk.  Maybe I should try almond milk!  :apondering:

What happens to you if you have rice or soy milk?

When I first lived alone I didn't have a fridge so I drank soy milk as it kept for longer. I didn't mind the taste of it.

When I drink rice or soy milk I get an itch inside my mouth and Eustachian tubes, it's
not a severe reaction but I'd rather not have it again, so I drink other things.  8)

Eustachian tube itch is one of the worst itches imo because you can't quite scratch it.
