new fire agate 24 cts

Weight: 24 carats
 
Size: 22.8x17x 8.7 mm
 
Thick stack of gem banding in this large cabochon of fire agate from Slaughter Mountain Arizona. Top red is first band and is followed by several sub bands of different colors. This stone can be re-cut to reveal any or all of the bands per illustration. Rare and special piece.

It is pretty good size. When you can afford it maybe you should consider having a bezel made and wearing it on a silver neck chain.

good thinking ppk. My sister had a silver ring made, (she had the stone already and just basically needed the metal and labour)
and it costed her like $400

It would have been cheaper to make it herself with Precious Metal Clay PMC3 which requires lower temperature flame. Heck, buying PMC in gold would cost about the same. Maybe less. And for a small item like a ring, you can get a SpeedFire SuperMini.
