He or his minions never "expanded" or "spread". They were ran out and their numbers have been few and far since the mid-2000s. The short film says tens of thousands, other (much more reliable) sources say it's more closer to 100. Kony was never a warlord, just a nuisance compared to bigger conflicts over in Africa.

It isn't apathy if you care about misinformation. It is apathy however to not look things up and jump to conclusions from one glossed-over video.

dunno if your replying generally, or to me, but i know everything you said there. they were pushed mostly into congo, and at best consist of about 1000 troops, which is an estimate, and 100 may be just as correct.
the 30 000 number comes from the number of abductees, which - like most cannon-fodder, has wasted away over the years, since they have been active since the 80s

in long lasting wars, one often see these types of numbers, such as:
army size: 10 000
army deaths and losses: 15 000
^
doesnt make sense, unless the war spun over 10 years, with 10 000 being the average size of said army, over this time.

the apathy i mention, is not auto-white-person-guilt, since i allready mentioned ethiopian and nigerian military interventions down in africa. anybody could intervene. fuckin burundi could intervene. they just cant be bothered to.

One of the men behind the Kony 2012 video that went viral last week was arrested in California on Thursday night on charges of public drunkenness and masturbation, a local NBC affiliate in San Diego reports.

Local police say that Jason Russell, the 33-year-old co-founder of Invisible Children, appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol when he was found by officers "in his underwear" allegedly vandalizing cars and masturbating in public, NBC San Diego reports.

"He was no problem for the police department however, during the evaluation we learned that we probably needed to take care of him," a police spokesperson said at a Friday press conference. "So officers detained him and transferred him to a local medical facility for further evaluation and treatment."

Russell is one of the founders of the San Diego-based nonprofit behind Kony 2012, a documentary film about Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army. Invisible Children had been trying for years to focus the world's attention on Kony—who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for enlisting child soldiers, among other crimes against humanity—but, after it struck viral gold, the group came under increased scrutiny for how the film portrayed the situation on the ground and how the nonprofit group spent its money.

Invisible Children released a statement on Friday afternoon after the news of Russell's arrest broke:

"Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition. He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday. Jason’s passion and his work have done so much to help so many, and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue. We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time

This whole Kony 2012 fiasco is just an excuse for the USA to invade Africa, rape and pillage the nations of their resources, and maybe line up and kill a few million innocent civilians just for the hell of it. Anyone who supports this sickening scam should be held accountable for the atrocities that will inevitably occur as a result of these coming invasions.

The Kony 2012 video was getting screened around Uganda. The people there were less than pleased.

Ugandans aren't even worried about Kony. Kony is just some obscure warlord. They're worried about their own president being involved with the Western powers and killing millions.

If you watch the video it says Uganda is in central America, I believe a charity organization that cared so much about Ugandians would know where it is.

Also there are several videos pointing out flaws of kony(they say they are unable to find him yet they are interviewing him in the video...)

I've not looked at the video, but I understand the purpose (or at least one of the purposes) is to help catch him.  Riiiight, like I'm going to see him at the local WalMart.

Your only thought is for yourself? How very odd.

We have a moral and ethical responsibility to see that Koney is finally captured and stopped. Twenty years of this kind of criminal activity and atrocity is too long already. WTG Jason! And Obama as well for responding.
