Anyone remember these games from when you were little or when your kids were little?

This was my favorite when I was seven and eight:

My favorite when I was nine and ten:

My favorite when I was 11 and 12:

My favorite when I was 11:

I downloaded all of these onto my computer to play and I also downloaded two programs so I could play them. Took me about a week to figure it out watching youtube videos and reading on how to do it. I wonder if there is such program that allows you to play old computer games like you install an old game onto your computer and the program will let you play it such as a windows 98 emulator or windows 95 emulator if there was such a thing. Not all old programs work on the XP that say they are compatible for windows 95and 98 and ME.

I played this when I was 12:

14:11 - Peter5930: So, she thought I was your lover and that I was sending you a box full of sex toys, and that you wanted to move to Glasgow to be with me?

I'd nominate this thread into the "longest thread title evar" awards!

Anyways, I'd say Streets of Simcity would be one of the PC games I played the most as a child. That game was so bad, that it was good. I loved the prospect of building a city in SCURK, and then driving around in it. Such a shame there isn't really another game like it.

When I was young, or a kid, there were no computer games.  :M

First game I remember is BoloBall.

My kids still are young. They like game sites.

I thought you were maybe young in the 80's or 90's. There were computer games before 1985 but the graphics sucked then. I saw the original Wolfenstein game on youtube and boy did the graphics suck and I saw what they did with the overview. So I didn't waste my time downloading it and adding it to D-fend Reloaded. No wonder they named the new game in 1992 Wolfenstein 3D because it was not the original.

But I guess it depends on how you view the word young and what it means to you. I just thought young means young like when you're in your 70's, you see an old photo of you from when you were in your 40's ad you say 'That's me from when I was young' or when you are in your 40's and are talking about when you were in your 20's, you talk about from when you were young.  :dunno:

The X-com series. Some of my favourite games ever are X-com apocalypse, X-com terror from the deep (I like the lovecraftian themes they include)

System shock I and II. Very hackerish, they might be old games, but the gameplay is superb.

Doom 3 is a new favourite of mine. As well as half-life is another favourite, submarine titans. And of course the old doom games. I hear a new X-com game is in the pipeline, this time a FPS.

Anyone play Blood, or blood 2? the dark humour and bloody violence is quite amusing. And of course any game that allows one to pitchfork someone to death, or set them on fire with a lighter and a can of hairspray is a hit with me. And of course, watching some bugger get set on fire, or blown to pieces with a flare gun to the face is bound to crack me up :D

Only use I would have for an etch-a-sketch is to take them apart for the iron filings inside if I need a small, readily available source of Fe powder for lab work. Otherwise I would get rapidly bored stiff by those fucking things.

Me, too! As for computer games, back on the Spectrum ZX+2, Jack the Nipper & Paperboy are 2 I remember. Later, on the Atari 512, Batman is the main one I remember. Before that, a Binatone thing!
Can we add video games we like now here or is there another thread for that?

I had an etch and sketch also and I left it in Montana when I moved. I am sure I will get it back once we get a house. I plan on taking a vacation and going out there and get some things after we get a house or have my parents bring my stuff out since they have a bigger car.

Bolo for Mac. The game we played at my very first LAN party.

My parents didn't like that, so, I got Spirograph. Could be quite mesmerising.
