This actually happened to a degree, but the incident was turned into an internet meme. He was not actually hurt.  Just some good ole boys wanted to  "have a talk"  with the smart guy.

Correction:
Actually, I had downloaded this image named as a Buick, but judging by the lack of decorative fake vents on the side and the round rocket ship for a hood ornament, this is an image of an Oldsmobile pulling a matching camper trailer.
They are similar, but this guy got it wrong. This is an Olds!
