Poppy tea, milk. Separately, that is. I cannot even begin to comprehend how unbelievably rancid that would be together.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

A glass of pink wine. Nicely cool.

I was standing in the wine aisle (of the Albert Hein store/a supermarket chain here) thinking which one to pick and I found this French one. Very light of colour, nicely shaped bottle and well thought of labelling style. Those things, I believe, too, say something about the wine inside a bottle but also what won me over is that the label mentioned that they are making wine since 1883 ('depuis 1883').

It's not bad, I tell ya. Not bad at all. Reasonably priced too. Great 'find', I'm reckoning now.

(protip: when buying pink wine.. go for the lightest of colour. The darker wines are mostly artificially coloured with bullshit stuff)

Or beer, beyond "folkis".

Here they/we make the distinction between beer and wine (incluis port/till p/m 20% vol.) on the one hand and distilled beverages on the other. The first all supermarkets offer, the second one can only buy in liquid stores.. and those stores also offer (a wide range of) beers and wines.

That's quite a nice thing about Holland (getting proper wines in supermarkets). 'They' did up the age someone can buy alcohol here not that long ago. From 16 to 18 y/o. Which is good, I suppose. Developing brains and alcohol (or drugs)..
