Realised I did not have enough sugar in the house. On Sundays shops are closed here.
Had planned on making elderflower syrup.

i will be making elderflower syrup this weekend. i am hoping to find elderberry to grow here but so far no luck.
i bought some organic dried flowers from amazon and will be using that as my first test batch.

Ew. I HATE wine. Wine/champaign, whiskey, and cointrau I can't stomach. Always hated the first two had a bad experience with each usually involving too much  at 13-14 , the usual, friends getting pissed and drinking to excess,thundering hangover, the drinking a half of the stuff, the morning  after was fucking dire

i don't like most wine because i don't like the taste.
i do like the idea of access to things behind paywalls because that's where a lot of students buy papers and they don't come up on the usual detection sites.
also because if i were in a library it would not cost me anything to check out articles, but because i don't have access to a good library, i have to pay just to see if i want to read something.

ginger ale is put on cans and bottles of stuff that remotely tastes of ginger, while ginger beer is put on bottles of stuff that will burn your throat and is supposed to be made by fermentation. if it's fermented long enough it makes alcohol. i've never seen the alcoholic version sold anywhere but there are plenty of instructions on how to make it yourself. if we were being strict the non-alcoholic or low alcoholic version would be ale and the longer brewed version would be beer. the stuff they sell that's called ginger ale does not seem to be fermented.

ginger pepsi is made with ginger extract which gives it an extra kick. i've seen this done with hot sauces to cheat and get the heat rating higher without using the more expensive peppers. the pepsi is pretty powerful.

Here ginger is not cheap at all, compared to peppers. Especially when going to the market.

Thought ginger was used to give a different type of heat to the sauce, next to the heat of peppers.

If you can get it where you are wolfy try fentiman's if you want real good ginger beer thats low alc. but fermented properly. 0.5% or so if that but iits sold as a soft drink. Real quality stuff though, and bottled not canned. Crabbie's for alcoholic ginger beer, not strong, but nice and spicy , very refreshing on a hot day with ice and a jolt of vodka, and a big squeeze of lime, some lime slices, over ice. Only thing is, after one bottle you want another, and another, and.... until the entire lot is gone and your all sleepy and ready for a nap.

Earlier-vodka shots,  now, got me a big carton of mango juice.
