Evaporated cough syrup.
I've got a rotten stomach bug lately, and to keep my stomach settled and me not puking my guts up, i decided to use a bottle of gee's linctus, an old fashioned, well-nigh fossilized old cough and g.i trouble based on opium tincture, with iirc treacle, honey, capsicum tincture, good stuff for over the counter but contains alcohol, which would really sicken me on the antibiotic im taking, so I boiled it down to less than twice the volume of the near quarter alcohol in there less a couple of times over to a thick syrup, dark from caramelization of the sugar.
Tastes really good actually. easy to eat the boiled down 200ml bottle from a glass with a spoon.
