Beer number 3 - Adnams Ghost Ship. Only tried this for the first time last week, its really rather good. Fresh, citric, nicely bitter pale ale with a creamy maltiness for balance. Adnams make some great beers. :beergrin:

For anyone who cares about beer, my previous brews were Little Valley Python IPA, an organic bottle conditioned ale from a local brewer, strong, bitter and well hopped in the historic English style rather than a piney/citrussy American style IPA, and Morrisons IPA brewed by Marstons, cheap and cheerful with a decent bittersweet kick and a respectable abv.  :beer:

Having more IPAs tonight.  :zoinks:

Started off with St Austell Proper Job, a bottle conditioned Cornish brew with a good biscuity malt backbone like a British IPA, but bittered with American hops (Willamette, Chinook and Cascade).

Next up will be Wold Top Scarborough Fair IPA, a traditional 6% IPA from a small East Yorkshire brewery using local barley, then a proper treat for me, Saltaire Kala black IPA. I fucking love this beer - roasted malts including Munich, and piney and citrussy US hop varieties. Its a belter. And they don't make it often, which is a shame. Will have to go back where I got it and buy a few more to keep. :beergrin:

I'm surprised you can taste it. Not much goes after an IPA, other than summat dark and bitter.

Now on Tesco Revisionist Dark IPA, brewed by Wychwood. Not bad - smooth dark malt flavours, well hopped with citrussy US hops, I'm getting Chinook, Amarillo, Citra. :beergrin:
