Hey, I forgot to post this.  Yesterday, March 16 was our 27th wedding anniversary.  Simple dinner out and much physical conversation later.

Happy anniversary, you two crazy kids!

@ BruceCM = As missionary as a Lutheran and Jew can be.

@ PPK = I've never been on WP, but yes, she "graduated" from St. Michael Special School for Exceptional Children in 2010.  She did get a diploma, but it's only recognized by the school.  It mainly means she went to St. Michael for more than 2 years and managed to behave herself and have a good time.

I don't mean to speak ill of her school.  Their philosophy is that except for a few higher functioning students who study for a GED, the school's mission is to teach the students intangible skills such as cooperation, consideration, social, etc.  They do have academics and other classes such as wood working, cooking, sewing, arts, music so it's not just a big fun time.

Okay, circa 2008 when I was active there a woman had posted about her 19 year old MR daughter graduating after some school admin had recommended not having her do the extra year because "it wouldn't matter" anyway. As it turned out it did matter to the young lady and her family.

Luther really liked his bedtime adventures. He did not say without a reason that only very few people were chosen to live a celibate life. And he was as open about his physical love for his wife as QV is about her physical love for PA.
And, the SongofSongs, it can be read without thinking it is all a metaphor. It's worth a try reading it that way for a change Bruce.

Oh, I didn't think it was metaphors! I'm not inclined to interpret things that way, if they make sense as it is, Hykes. shock, horror?

Well, you seemed so sure I'd be taking Song of songs metaphorically? Aspies tend to not be very good at metaphors & I can't even tell when they're being used, generally, so I am highly unlikely to take anything 'metaphorically'! If it is supposed to be taken that way, I probably won't be able to & won't be able to see how the explanation of what it means follows, either. Depends.
However, I didn't know about Luther (especially) or Lutherans in general, whilst I have met some pretty uptight religious people around, so I was asking Queen V about her & PA, specifically. That's the very long winded version.....

Okay, Bruce.  To answer your question as discretely as possible.  PA and I are not the outrageous lover type.  We are considerate, playful, a little bit adventurous and enjoy each other very much.  We were both "ancient" when we got married (first time for both of us, 34 for me and 41 for him) and have an older appreciation of love making that suits us well.

That's great! How are PA & PR? As well as yourself, of course?

PA (Prince Albert, my husband) and the PR (Princess Royal, my daughter) are tucked safely in their beds right now.  I'm spending a few last hours minutes on the computer before I do a Pepys (go to bed.  From Samuel Pepys diary in which he often wrote, "And so to bed.")

Managed to avoid reading Pepys, personally. What other literature do you like, then?

Harry Potter, medieval history, royal biographies, books and articles on frugality, mysteries (particularly murders set in England and Nevada Barr's), some young adult novels (Inkhart for example), cookbooks, The London Telegraph and the Daily Mail, the obituaries in the local paper, true crime stories, Intensity.
