Okay some voting trivia.
In Louisiana, local and state elections are on Saturday.
Federal elections are always on a Tuesday? Why? Because back when we were an agrarian society, the farmer could not leave his animals unattended 2 days in a row. Voting on either Saturday or Monday would make it harder for a farmer to vote. And it is considered sacreligious to vote on Sunday, when he went to church.
In Federal elections you can early vote starting on the 14th day before the election extending through the 7th day before the election, giving the voter 7 days of early voting (Sundays excepted.) The regular election day is the first Tuesday in November.
