We're going to enjoy a huge brisket.
Marinated it yesterday, started it slow smoking early this morning. Still about six hours to go.

Oh, the marinade was all Texas ... salt, pepper, onion, galrlic, beer and a bit of molassis. Sat over night.

Splitting up the latest haul of barbecue wood.

As long as people keep cutting down trees, I am going to bring home some of the smaller logs for later.
We have sizable stack already, but grabbing free hardwood makes sense if you're smart.
