Prepare some plad cat, and then use it to reduce some alpha-chloromorphide thats lying around to dihydrodesoxymorphine-D, aka desomorphine, made in a highly impure and utterly, totally vile, nasty flesh-necrotozing toxic slop in low yield by the russian peasant junkies as krokodil.
But this time, a competent enough chemist is doing it, who loves his work, his science and art, and who will apply a gentle, mild and very very clean, high yielding method to dehydrohalogenate the 6-chloromorphine to desomorphine/krokodil and make it in such a way, using the very mild and clean technique of catalytic hydrogenation with a suitable precious metal (palladium in this case) supported hydrogenation catalyst. This is a one step job. Dissolve precursor in an alcohol, such as isopropanol, form a stirred slurry with catalyst, apparently pressurized H2 is unneeded in this reduction, but will do it under gentle H2 pressure all the same, using a modified brake fluid extractor connected to a rubber car tyre innertube full of hydrogen gas and use the brake fluid vacuum siphon, modified to be pressurized using the tyre gas pressure to hydrogenate at 20-30 PSI. That should make absolutely certain that proper and full reduction is complete. Have got it taking a pressure feed from an innertube with a bike pump type snap fit that goes onto the innertube gas inlet, now I just need to modify the tyre innnertube somewhat to take a hydrogen feed (generated from caustic soda and aluminium reacting, led through a water filled wash-bottle to clean out any residual caustic then through a drying agent filled tube and into the tyre, hacked a bit to sport a second inlet/outlet nipple.
